    Minnor Irrigation Department

    The Head of Irrigation Department is a Class 1 officer of the State Government. His designation is District Water Conservation Officer, along with an Assistant District Water Conservation Officer of Class I. In addition, a Class 1 officer works as a Sub-Divisional Water Conservation Officer. There are five sub-divisions under this department with Sub-Divisional Water Conservation Officers of Class-I working to control them.

    A total of 1748 former Malgujari lakes are recorded in the district and 1421 ex Malgujari lakes are actually in existence. Its projected irrigation potential is 28730 hectares. Also, the number of small irrigation ponds below 100 hectares is 192 and its projected irrigation capacity is 10897 hectares. Also, there are 294 Kolhapuri dams with a design irrigation capacity of 10075 hectares. There are also 1559 storage dams with a design irrigation capacity of 14817 hectares. Apart from this district, there are 2 large projects, 9 medium projects and 20 small projects. Ideas are working.

    Increasing the irrigation projects and irrigation projects under the water conservation and providing irrigation facilities under water conservation and by providing its benefits to the farmers, it can be inflated and the eradication of the water level in the field. Also, these projects contribute to wildlife conservation. Also, irrigation wells are being constructed on a large scale as irrigation facilities are available in the district. Due to all these factors, this department has a unique importance in the district.
