Social Welfare Department

Social Welfare Department under Zilla Parishad the Head of the Department is a Class 1 officer of the State Government. His designation is Social Welfare Officer. The same officer is the Secretary of the Social Welfare Committee of the District Council. This department always strives for the development of the backward classes. There are a total of 44 hostels in rural areas in the district. Scholarships given by the government to backward class students in rural areas, provision of bicycles and sewing machines from the district fund, construction of roads, street lights, community buildings, drains, etc. in the settlements of backward class people of Schedule caste and Nav-Buddhist Areas are developed under the scheme.
