Rural Water Supply Department Zilla Parishad The head of this department is a Class 1 officer of the State Government. His designation is Executive Engineer (Rural Water Supply). In addition, a Class 2 officer works as Sub-Executive Engineer. Also technical department is working for Vindhan well. It is headed by a sub-engineer who looks after the mechanical work. Working in 8 sub-divisions in the district as sub-divisional engineers of class-2 to supervise at Panchayat Samiti level.

There are total 04 regional water supply schemes in the district and there are 9675 hand pumps, 151 power pumps, 483 solar pumps and 4486 simple wells. In the district, the responsibility has been given to provide clean water to the general public as well as school students and Anganwadi boys and girls in the rural areas. For this, the department always strives to fulfill its duties by implementing various schemes from the center and state as well as the district fund.

For this, Central Government’s Water Life Mission and Chief Minister’s Rural Drinking Water Program are being implemented.
