    Introduction
    Amgaon taluka is a small town famous for Mahashi Bhavanti who wrote the epic “Uttar Ramcharitra” and beautiful natural scenery. Amgaon taluka is located in the north-eastern part of Maharashtra. The boundary of Amgaon taluka is adjacent to Madhya Pradesh along the north-eastern bank of Vaghna river. Panchayat Samiti Amgaon was established on 03.03.1964 Panchayat Samiti is a medium-level rural semi-government local self-government body in India, Amgaon Taluka has a general area of 32205.64 ha. is Out of which forest area is 3883.14. R., Pik Lavadi Khali-20860.92 Ha.R., Olit- 11867 Ha.R. and dry land 8382.80 ha.R. is the area. An unbroken portion of the Nagzira reserve occupies the south-western part of the taluka. Panchayat Samiti Amgaon is divided into 5 Zilla Parishad areas and 10 Panchayat Samiti ganas.

    Administrative Setup

    * He is the chief administrative officer of the Panchayat Samiti and is appointed by the state government.
