Health Department
Health Department under Zilla Parishad the Head of this department is a Class 1 officer of the State Government. His designation is the District Health Officer. The same officer is the Secretary of the Health Committee of the Zilla Parishad. It houses two Class 1 officers one is an Additional District Health Officer and the other is an Assistant District Health Officer. Taluka Medical Officer is a Class 2 officer at Panchayat Samiti level. And each Primary Health Center is staffed by a Class 2 Medical Officer.
A total of 40 primary health centers and 258 sub centers are functioning in the district. Also, one district hospital, one women’s hospital, 10 rural hospitals, 4 mobile medical units etc. offices are working for health care. Medical officers and other technical manpower are working in this and are working to provide better health services in the district.
A mission of the government regarding health is working in the district, that is, the National Rural Health Mission is trying to maintain the health of the rural people by implementing various schemes of the government through the internal and regular health department. And how the development of the district will happen at a fast pace is always planned.
