Zilla Parishad is the harbinger of rural development. In this district development bid has been done in every small village and the information of central and state government schemes is spread in the rural areas through various media and the schemes are implemented intensively which leads to the development of the district.
Gondia district was created on May 1, 1999 in Maharashtra and it includes Gondia Tiroda, Goregaon, Deori, Amgaon, Saleksa, Arjuni Morgaon, Sadak Arjuni talukas.
Gondia district headquarters is on the Mumbai Howrah railway line and the geographical location of the city is at latitude
21 27’37” and longitude 80 11′ 48”. The east of the district is Rajnandgaon district of Madhya Pradesh and west is Bhandara district of Maharashtra.
